Nassau County Aquatic Center

East Meadow, NY

An actual Olympic-caliber facility inside Eisenhower Park, built for the 1998 Goodwill Games, with a 50-meter pool and diving well that host national meets. The part most people miss: it runs public swim sessions, so you can do laps in the same water as Olympic trials qualifiers.

LOCAL TIP

Nassau residents should get the Leisure Pass first because it drops adult admission from $22 to $8; non-residents can swim but pay the full rate, and lap lanes share the schedule with meets, so check the daily calendar before driving over.
