An 1883 state hatchery turned nonprofit where kids fish stocked ponds so thick with trout that a skunking is mathematically impossible, plus two aquarium buildings holding New York's largest collection of native freshwater fish. The catch-and-keep rule is real: you hook it, you buy it, you take it home for dinner.
LOCAL TIP
Fishing runs 10 to noon and 1 to 3 most days but not Wednesdays and Thursdays; bring a cooler bag for the catch.
